A British classic popular since Victorian times but worn by Men all the way through the 1930s, 40s to the early 1950s, our 'Bertie' high-back fishtail trousers are actually based on an original early 1940s CC41 pair in our personal collection.
They feature period correct details such as an extended rise to sit on your natural waist (often referred to as 'High-waisted' compared to the modern trouser cut), twin-pleats for a slightly fuller hang, an extended waistband for a smoother fit, buttons for braces, and a straight-leg ending in 22" cuffs complete with 4cm turn-ups.
These trousers come in two leg lengths, regular (32") and long (34") and are only partially lined due to the weight of the fabric.
Key Features include:-
- High-rise natural waist
- Buttons for braces
- Twin pleats
- 22" cuffs*
- Two side pockets
- Change/watch pocket with flap
- Single rear pocket with flap
